FESA meets on a scheduled basis in Melbourne over an evening meal, where a guest speaker presents a topic and where members and guests discuss current issues, engaging in "Show and Tell" about interesting forensic issues and recent cases.  We also exchange professional advice and assist each other within our network, and refer work to each other where appropriate.

FESA members are interested in cross-referring work, enquiries and problems to each other - providing mutual support, networking, helping to support and enhance enhancing each other's reputations,  professional standards, and our standing in the engineering, legal and general communities.

Next meeting

Our next meeting will be in the New Year, and will be announced here with plenty of forward notice.  Keep an eye out.

 Previous meeting

The last FESA technical meeting (apart from our Christmas social in Williamstown on 8 December - thanks, Ian Thomas, for your hospitality, and John Lambert for your sceptical words on Intelligent Driving Systems) was on September 8 2009.  The topic was "Defensive Construction of the West Gate Bridge. " - Our guest speakers were Marc Douez (site engineer) and Chris Dauth (engineering manager) from the West Gate Bridge-Strengthening Alliance who spoke about their upcoming works and defensive engineering on the project. .   Meeting details, photos
